We arrived and were welcomed with great warmth and enthusiasm by Restaurant Manager Conor, a welcome that set the tone for the evening. The room exuded a warm and friendly ambience, due in no small part to the incredible synergy between Conor and Sophie, who served us and the other diners throughout the evening. Their service was a masterclass in calm efficiency, as they effortlessly delivered dishes and attended to every need with seamless timing and genuine smiles, making our dinner truly special. |
∙ THE STARS OF THE SHOW ∙ The undeniable highlight was the exquisite food, beginning with comforting sourdough and focaccia, followed by delicate amuse-bouche. Starters like the vibrant Courgette & Fig Salad and a delicate Pea Panna Cotta showcased fresh ingredients and masterful presentation. Main courses, including a comforting Ratatouille and an innovative Celeriac Steak, continued to impress with their depth of flavour.
A refreshing pear sorbet cleansed the palate before desserts like the triumphant (best pudding ever!) English Strawberries with gold leaf and a light Passionfruit Souffle provided a memorable finale. Every dish, crafted by Head Chef Nik Chappell, demonstrated exceptional culinary skill, imaginative flavour combinations, and a focus on fresh, local produce, culminating in a truly perfect dining experience. |
